field note / worldbuilding:
A world is more than a prompt.
What makes a generated scene feel like it belongs? A world gives the scene history, contradiction, memory and a point of view.
What a world holds
- History that shapes what can happen now.
- Contradictions that give characters and places texture.
- Memory that lets a new scene carry the weight of earlier ones.
- A point of view that makes the work feel authored.
Why it matters
A prompt can produce an image or a scene. Worldbuilding gives that output a reason to exist inside a larger story. It creates the shared reference system that lets people make new material without losing the identity of the world.
