field note / continuity:
The first scene is the beginning.
How do you keep a narrative universe coherent? You give every new scene a relationship to the canon, character state and visual language that came before it.
What continuity tracks
- What has happened and what remains unresolved.
- How characters have changed.
- Which places, objects and relationships carry meaning.
- What the world’s visual language makes recognizable.
Why it matters
The creative challenge is making the twenty-seventh scene feel intentional — as if it grew from everything that came before. Continuity turns a sequence of outputs into a living body of work.
