field note / authorship:
Human judgment is the creative material.
What becomes more important as creation becomes abundant? Taste becomes visible, and human judgment gives a world its boundaries.
What authorship decides
- What belongs in the world.
- What changes as the story develops.
- What a character would never do.
- Which details deserve to return.
Why it matters
These decisions are the difference between more content and a world with an identity. A cared-for world can hold creative choices across scenes, formats and collaborators while keeping a recognizable point of view.
